In 1974, Mr Imad Sweis worked in shoes manufacturing, then in 1993 the production lines were converted to plastic and packaging, then he established Ammon plastic factory and started the actual work in 1994.

Ammon Plastic was established in 1993. It started operations in 1994 as restaurants started to spread and people started eating out, increasing the demand for plastic products in the market. Since then, the company has started manufacturing plastic products. Over the years, the Ammon factory has evolved from a small factory and now includes four factories, a plastic factory, injection machines, a factory for the production of plastic forming machines from PET material, the production of microwave cans, salad cans, sweets, cocktail cups, wet tissue packaging and a commercial factory. For import and export, Ammon factory has developed all its products with the latest equipment and the experience of a staff of 80 workers, to cope with the development in the plastic products industry and the highest standards and quality. Ammon factory now has more than 130 products, from food cans, trays, plates, spoons, plastic forks and many other items, to meet the needs of the local and global market. Ammon factory started in the Jordanian local market, but now it exports its products to several countries such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Syria, Sweden and Germany. Ammon is keen in manufacturing processes to the necessary standards in the manufacture, production and packaging of its products with the latest technologies that suit human consumption. All Ammon products are applied in accordance with good manufacturing practices and are certified by the Jordanian Food and Drug Administration.
